DEPARTMENT OF SURGERY & RADIOLOGY

Salient Research Achievements:

  1. A new technique-paracentesis-oculi-proved easy for extraction of ocular parasite.
  2. A surgical technique for separate collection of urine and faeces in fowl evolved.
  3. A simple surgical technique for ovariohysterectomy in dog developed.
  4. Simple diagnostic techniques for cholecysto-graphy, pyelography, bronchography and myelography for dog developed.
  5. More than 20 % increase in meat production is possible through partial castration done at 15 days of age in Goats and at one month of age in buffalo calves.
  6. Effective techniques of regional anaesthesia in small and large animals evolved.
  7. Location of acupoints in Goats detailed.
  8. Development of modern cataract surgery in canine.
